Curriculum Author – Brenda Hayles
Brenda is an award-winning science educator and former Deputy Headteacher with over 25 years of teaching and leadership experience. She is the author and illustrator of the HEP Science primary curriculum, now used across Haringey, Enfield and Waltham Forest schools and more than 150 schools nationally.
She designs and leads national CPD programmes and serves as a borough network lead, working with teachers and subject leaders to strengthen curriculum, teaching practice, and leadership.
Brenda has presented at education conferences, including BETT 2025, and is also a Canva Education Specialist Content Creator, developing curriculum-aligned resource systems that support teachers in the classroom.
